Rustem Stahurski
“All I want to do is to paint,” says Rustem, for whom painting is as natural as breathing. Wherever you meet Rustem: at home, or his country house in Crimea, visiting friends, travelling – you find him painting. He looks at the world with the eyes of the child, constantly fascinated with its beauty and diversity. His goal is to capture moments of this beauty and transfer them on canvas. His paintings are colorful yet subtle, depict nature’s abundance and generosity. No surprisingly, generosity is Rustem’s personal characteristic: he likes to gift his works to his friends and patrons, to whoever likes them!
Rustem Stahursky can be rightly regarded as a present-day impressionist. In his works he does not go deep into philosophical questions, does not overload his paintings with symbolism. The integrity and originality of the artist’s talent is visible in his own style of painting. His works emanate a surprising charge of energy, a positive, celebratory spirit. Rustem Stahursky is a poet of sun and life, who captures southern nature in all its glory.
The Crimea is Rustem’s homeland, and he has devoted most of his paintings to glorifying his native land. He often turns his attention to views of Montenegro, and has recently created a series of urban views of New York. This summer Rustem has discovered Florida. Our beautiful Naples has won his heart. His new collection of 15 paintings is dedicated to Naples’s art connoisseurs and to everyone who loves Naples.
