Susan Hecht
Susan Hecht is a nationally recognized and award-winning artist, celebrated for her impressionistic tablescapes, still lifes, and low country scenes. Her work has been showcased in numerous solo exhibitions, including at esteemed galleries such as Artsource Fine Art in Raleigh, Dare Gallery in Charleston, and Sandpiper Gallery on Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina. Her work is also featured at Crown Gallery in Blowing Rock, NC.
Hecht has earned recognition for her exceptional talent, having been juried into various national exhibitions. She holds Signature Member status with the American Impressionist Society, American Women Artists, and Women Painters of the Southeast. Her artistic achievements include multiple awards, such as the Award of Merit at the 2022 American Impressionist Society Online Member Show, the Princeton Brushes Award of Distinction at the 22nd Annual National Juried Exhibition in 2021 and the Award of Distinction at Women Painters of the Southeast National Juried Show in 2014.
In addition to her accolades, Susan Hecht was selected for the prestigious Atelier Artist Residency at Chateau de Orquevaux, France, in October 2019, where she further honed her craft. She was also the featured artist at the Beaufort Food and Wine Festival in 2015. Her work has been featured in several prominent publications, including Modern Impressionist Magazine (October 2024), Home Design and Decor Magazine (October 2022 cover), and Midtown Magazine (Winter 2022).
