David Ouellette is a fine artist, painter, who works in an abstract, or more precisely, a non-objective manner. His works, however, are strong in subject: they refer to the many aspects of life, existence.  “My paintings are the visual arts expression of the human experience, finding inspiration in the more tangible world of the physical environment, the ethereal time of the past, the potential of the future, or certainly in the “time crest riding point of the present.”

He taught at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, and showed in many galleries and museums including the Detroit Institute of Art.
