“First and foremost, we want to thank East West Fine Art Gallery, Joann, the Director of the Gallery and of course, Victor Colesnicenco, aka Nemo, the artist that created our treasured piece of art, for this amazing opportunity! We are beyond honored that a renowned artist, such as Nemo, would agree to do a commissioned piece of artwork for us. We bought our first piece of Nemo’s artwork from East West Fine Art Gallery in Mercato in November 2018.
We fell in love with the vibrant colors, the unique features of Nemo’s artistic talents and most of all the meaningfulness of his artwork. Naples has always been our home away from home and the memories we have created here are some of our fondest to say the least. To see our love of Naples incorporated into artwork and hanging in our Naples home is very special to us.
We bought three of Nemo’s painting before Joann approached us with the opportunity to have a commissioned piece done that would fit the wall in our new home’s gathering room perfectly. We were able to select the size of the canvas and provide pictures of us and places in Naples that had specific and special meaning to us.
The experience was incredible, exciting and actually very fun! We were able to review Nemo’s initial canvas via email, make changes and additions and even add additional color to match our décor. Our commissioned painting is now a focal point in our new Naples home. It tells a story of our romance and captures our amazing “love story”! We will cherish this experience and this amazing work of art for the rest of our lives!

About the Artist
Victor Colesnicenco’s rigorous traditional training has laid the foundation for the creation of his own confident and lively style. Victor’s interest in multi-media art allows him to bring vastly different elements together as he constructs his imaginative and nostalgic cityscapes.
Using both oils and acrylics in his mixed-media paintings, Victor creates paintings with a plein-air feel. He is constantly investigating and developing new techniques. His international cityscape series is an innovative style combining photography, printing and painting.
Through printing and subsequent pasting of his photographs; he then paints with acrylics and glazes to construct a fused and somewhat surreal vision of different cities. The charm and mood of famous cities are combined to create a dream-like memory of time and space.
Your life story in a painting: Stress-free commission process
The process begins with the theme of the painting, in this case – the love story of Tom and Lynne Graf and their adoration of Naples. The couple sends us photos of their favorite or most significant places and occasions in their life.
Like an orchestra conductor the artist Nemo composes all these highlights into a melodic interesting composition that is significant to the client. He then places these photo images along with areas he paints and textures into a memorable and aesthetically pleasing work of art. The client then views the computer-generated proof through emailed photo images sent from the gallery.
The consultant then emails the client and asks for any input or changes before approval. If there are any changes necessary the artist will email another proof of requested changes to be approved to the client’s satisfaction.
During the entire process the art consultant is the communicator for both client and artist making the process very simplified and relaxed with no hidden surprises.
