Dancing Clocks and Soaring Violins
March 3, 2026

East West Fine Art gallery, open in Naples since 2000, has a talent for discovering artists who spark the imagination. Laura Lee Junge is a rising star in the American art world, captivating audiences with her joyful sculptures.
In this conversation with gallery owner Leeza Arkhangelskaya (LA), Laura Lee Junge (LJ) opens a window into a world where time, movement, and sound converge. Her work moves fluidly between painting and sculpture, with spinning clocks and soaring violins that invite viewers to pause, feel, and live with art every day.
Driven by curiosity and passion, her practice transforms beauty and emotion into tangible form, weaving music and motion into threads that connect past, present, and imagination.
LA: What is your mission?
LJ: With my work I lean more towards the entertaining side and creating things of beauty and interest. Making something that a person would want to live with day in, and day out is immensely rewarding.
LA: How did you invent your style of painting?
LJ: The biggest drive for me in creating art is the process and learning new ways to make art. I am a forever student. Recently my focus and goal have been creating 3-Dimensional Wall Sculptures.
LA: What message are you conveying with your use of clocks and references to time?
LJ: I have always had a huge fascination with things spinning and rotating and nothing does that better than a clock. I love the concept of time, and it’s placed importance in our society. Time is one of those things that we have no control over and if we let it, it will control us.
LA: How and why have you made these musical creations?
LJ: Music has been a constant theme in my artwork and in the process of creation. With the 3d pieces that play music I am aiming to capture the movement and the feeling of music. The violins and guitars are given wings to signify the way that music moves through and around us. There is a history and a bond through music that unites us all. Music is just magic….
