Julia Gentile

For Julia Alejandra Gentile, art is a continuous process of discovery. Born in Mar del Plata, Argentina, she has spent a lifetime exploring how color, texture, and unconventional materials can be transformed into unexpected forms of expression. Moving between painting and sculpture, her practice is driven by curiosity and a desire to push creative boundaries.

Her artistic journey began in childhood and has evolved through an ongoing exploration of techniques and surfaces. Acrylics, varnishes, textures, drippings, stamps, and imprints come together in paintings characterized by vibrant color, expressive gestures, and a thoughtful simplicity that allows emotion to take center stage.

This spirit of experimentation carries into her sculptural work, where she works with resin, cold porcelain, acrylic, and other unconventional materials, continually testing their possibilities and developing new approaches. Inspired by flowers and butterflies, Gentile creates fluid, translucent forms that blur the boundaries between nature, abstraction, and fantasy. Her sculptures possess an intriguing ambiguity: delicate and glasslike, they can seem almost unreal, as though they belong to a fairy tale.

Each sculpture is an original creation, and Gentile never repeats her designs. This individuality, combined with their striking color and dimensional presence, makes her work particularly compelling in luxury Florida interiors. Whether displayed in a grand foyer or as a showstopping focal point on an expansive wall, her sculptures bring an immediate sense of sophistication and artistic distinction to a space.

At the heart of Gentile’s work is a fascination with the expressive potential of materials and their ability to evoke emotion. By transforming familiar substances into extraordinary forms, she creates art that rewards close observation and brings an unexpected sense of wonder to its surroundings.
