A highly texturized, original, impressionist painting in the palette knife style.

This painting of one of my favorite places on earth, Krk, Croatia, is painted with a palette knife on a burlap canvas for optimal texture. This painting was painted mostly with oils, but with some mixing mediums, like modeling paste for extra texture.

Croatia, and especially Krk, has always had a place in my heart, as it is where my family went sometimes for our summer holiday. I found an old photo in my storage of this beautiful city, and immediately memories came pouring back. I sat down and painted it right away. I hope you will love it as much as I.
