Exhibit of modern seascapes by three Russian artists: Igor Volosnikov, Alexei Petruhin, and Julia Kostsova.

Seascape painters celebrate the majesty and wonder of the ocean and other bodies of water. A fascination with nature and its precision of movement. From tranquil waters to turbulent savage storms, this fascination of the ever-changing moods of mother nature captured on canvas.

Volosnikov evokes in a hyper- realistic manner the love and deep respect for the beauty, danger and life-giving waters of our planet.

Petruhin in a contemporary impressionistic style romanticizes the marine surroundings, incorporating the human figure and man’s joy in inhabiting his coastal playground.

Kostova in a more subtle manner records the coastal regions of Florida concentrating on its tranquil settings, incorporating the bird inhabitants of our region. Each artist paints “plein air” on location to capture the true essence of the seascape, from Florida to Crimea.
